Are working hours different for home-schooled kids?

Melina Minneweather: A good friend of mine was home schooled instead of going to secondary, or high school. He's 18 now and has a good job and quite a bit of money. He studied one hour every work day (all days but weekends) and he could choose which hour he'd like to be taught in. But he said it was a lot different to being taught in high school. Your tutor explains and teaches so much in that one hour a day that it's hard to take in the info and store it. You need to concentrate at your best. So make sure you pick the correct hour to study, to your preference! Remember that your tutor isn't teaching to a whole class of school kids, but instead to one individual; yourself. I have other friends and acquaintances that were home educated and are actually more intelligent and seem to have learnt more. From what I've seen and heard, home education is more effective than going to school, but it takes high concentration levels and perhaps quite a bit of motivation. But that's ju! st my opinion.
