Stanton Valdivia: if you nothing about mental health, you are not going to suddenly become enlightened from the internet. just listen if he needs to talk and don't interrupt him. that will help him more.
Patricia Dornbos: Go to www.mdjunction.com They have support groups for the loved ones of people with mental and physical illnesses as well as the people who have them. They will know what sites have the correct info and can help you learn how to support her. There are a lot of sites that have incorrect info because there is such a stigma with mental illness, but they will generally know what sites have good info or they will have info from doctors and personal ! experience. If your bf is having trouble dealing with it, it may be a good place for him and his family to go also. They have close to 1,000 groups so they have pretty much everything covered....Show more
Madlyn Fallis: "If someone you love has a mental disorder, remember that a listening ear, a helping hand, and an open mind can help that one to survive --- even to thrive."
