Poll: Do you prefer alternative medicine, heavy medicine, death medicine, goth medicine, or hard medicine?

Joel Feagler: Different horses for different courses, I think that is the way to go with medicine.Hard medicine can do the job more effectively... if you are up to taking it...Well, it depends what the problem is... For treating cancer, there are certainly some hard medicines out there, radiotherapy being one of them... but you have to withstand a lot of damage to yourself in order to get results... it's like chopping your arm off in order to stop an infection... you have to decide whether it is worth the loss...Alternative medicine is there for people who have tried the traditional remedies, without success.Heavy medicine - is that different to "hard medicine"? By heavy medicine, I assume you mean strong doses... you just have to bear in mind that too much of certain things can kill you, and it is your choice to risk walking a tightrope of death... it may be worth it if you have nothing to lose.Death medicine? Well, if you die, then surely, it is game over, the objective! of survival has slipped through your fingers...Goth medicine? I had no idea that Goth culture extended that far... It seems to me that locking yourself in a cupboard and listening to The Cure, is not necessarily a "cure", but rather a short-term shelter from a bad situation. My advice? Assess the problem/malady/illness, and respond with the most logical and proven remedy. If that does not prove effective, then seek alternatives. In other words, I prefer the most scientifically supported medicine, as the first port of call when you are sick. Do your research. Get expert opinions. Fight illness with the best weapon you can get your hands on....Show more
