Kate Baune: sounds to me like you are allowed to use the laundry facilities free of charge. If she is locking the door to the laundry room, you need to ask for a key. If she is only giving you access during certain times of the week and this doesn't work with your schedule, explain that you'll be happy to respect "quiet times" but, you need more liberal access to the facilities. be sure to use your own soap etc...
