Somer Distilo: This Site Might Help You.RE:Interesting Hobbies?Hi everyone! I just want to know some fun and interesting hobbies. I need too do something in my spare time besides reading and watching tv. I want to pick up something new to do. Any suggestions?...Show more

Saran Stealy: Okay, guys, the "inner wheel" IS called the "clutch." Thanks, the belt loosened and seems to be working now.

Lino Cawthorne: Cross stitch is a very popular craft. So many people know how to do it, that my opinion is, it won't sell very easily. By the time you pay selling fees, and other related costs, you won't make much if anything. You may get more satisfaction out of completing the work, and giving it to charity to silent auction.

Elli Esaw: The traditional scrapbooks are usually purchased already bound, but with page protectors in them that you can slide the! completed scrapbook page, whether paper or a printed digitally done scrapbook page, down into the sheet protector. Here's a link explaining the various types. http://www.scrapbook-advice.com/Scrapbook-Photo-Al...Or, if you are thinking about binding your own - which I have done also, you might want to purchase a kit to do that with. I started making my own albums from attending Club Scrap retreats. Here is a link to a page on their site where you can check those out. They are easy to do, and all come with great directions and there are also lots of videos on their site which can show you how.http://shop.clubscrap.com/category/34/As you mentioned, there are also some office supply companies that will do that, but they are quite pricey. You might also check out the Heritage Makers system at Memory Book Architects at http://www.memorybookarchitects.com There you can get individual pages or entire books up to 99 pages bound into a great book, for much less than the ! office supply stores as they are in the business of doing that! full time. These are 3 very different ways to do what you want, so I hope one of them fits. Hope this helps. Lynne...Show more

Randal Deyarmond: I don't think that's a clutch. I used a treadle machine years ago, as I recall, loosening the inner wheel was what you did when you wanted to disengage the needle so that you could fill your bobbin.

I love to do all of it, but I have no one to give it to and would rather it not just sit in my closet. I was thanking i would just finish it and sell it but I do not know how well it will sell? Mickey Isle: You don't give important info about yourself in your question. . . e.g., are you male or female? ...12 y! ears old or 60 years old?I'll see if I can tell something by going to your profile. Oscar Waddups: Read some comics.I started reading the Fables comics last year and I got hooked.

Romana Stiman: One of the items that I have bee! n able to sell are cross stitch cards. You get cards that have a square or other shape cut out of the front (these are call aperture cards). Make the cross stitch show through the hole and glue the sides. Put a backing on the back of the cross stitch. If you don't have aperture cards, you can just glue it to a colored card. I usually fray the ends, it makes it look awesome.

Tommy Durrenberger: What appeals to you? How about learning a musical instrument? It's a great way to spend time alone, but it can also be a fun social activity as you get better and find other musicians to play with.Do you like to create beautiful things? Then you could try art (watercolor, pastels, oil painting... lots of possibilities), or sewing, knitting, woodworking, or sculpture. If you're outdoorsy, or want to be, there's hiking, kayaking, Civil War reenacting, making the 5 or 10 K race circuit, or biking.Personally, I think it's fun to have one outdoor hobby and one indoor hobby. What ! have you always dreamed of being able to do? Let that guide your choice! ....Show more

Clark Lachowski: If a piece is done well - and finished professionally - properly blocked and cleaned - ready for use or framing - it will sell - how well depends on the subject and condition of the work. The best place to sell a finished product like that is most likely on http://www.etsy.com. Another location will be eBay but that is a more complicated process -- and you really will need to have amazing photos of the work (front and back) regardless of where you sell them on-line. Alternatively, look to see if there will be any craft fairs / church bazaars, etc. that are coming up -- you will need to rent space -- but if the work is good -- you should be alright as long as you don't spend a fortune in the rental fee. Speak with the organizer - there may be another person with a similar interest that you could share space with. But you may be best served finishing the pieces and then gifting them to family members who will appreciate your grandmother! 's hand and your contribution in finishing the pieces! I know that I treasure the few items that I have from my mother-in-law and really wish I had more that just a few watercolors from my grandmother Nana - whom I used as my model for granmotherly attention to my grands.Good luck - hope this helps - please remember to comment when you vote!...Show more

Nancy Mansell: Yes, it does have a clutch. The clutch is the small wheel inside the hand wheel that when engaged allows the needle mechanism to operate. If the clutch is disengaged (loosened), treading is easy, everything working great. Once I engage the clutch (tighten the inner wheel), treadling is virtually impossible.

Shad Bushweller: Aperture Cards For Cross Stitch

Troy Staton: If you feel a little adventurous and have friends who like action i would suggest trying airsoft. It provides amazing exercise and is a very enjoyable experience. I prefer it to paintball because it is more realistic and it ! encourages role playing (gunners stay put and provide support and snipe! rs strike from afar etc). If you are not that into adrenaline there are many sports which can give you quite a good time. My personal favourites are basketball and soccer. Regardless of your choice i really think that a sport is the best hobby for someone reads and watches tv all day. It helps vent any tension you might have and keep fit....Show more

Willis Liburd:

Judie Kise: Buy an ink pen and sketchbook and do Zentangle art, no drawing experience required. Google search ZENTANGLE for more info about it. You can also buy instruction books on Zentangle art at amazon site. You can also do digital painting on the computer. It is non-messy and it is cheaper to do because you do not have to keep buying art supplies. Do abstract art or zentangle art or landscapes if you do not want to learn how to draw real subjects. You can also sell your art on the internet ! and make some money, the first video below talks about that also. I have seen numerous people wanting to buy Zentangle art. Go to youtube site and search the following words to watch these 2 great videos about digital painting: das41 software painting tutorial paanartcreative...Show more
