Claude Gloden: It's as good as some of the beers I get at home. Well made and in most US states it's comparable in alcoholic content.
Judie Kise: Some of their beers are pretty good. I don't like all of them. Just don't sing the praises of cherry wheat or chocolate bock and you should be okay.
Johnnie Pummill: Yes.
Arnette Dominici: Beer snobs especially like to make fun of Sam Adams, because its the kind of beer that non-snobs think is "quality." It happens to be very well made, very good beer, but you will rarely get a beer snob to admit it. Beer snobs should be very thankful for Sam Adams, because it was the first "craft beer" that was succesfull, and opened the door commercialy for all these new craft beers to be made.
Romeo Tinnea: I can be pretty snobby about my beer but I think Sam Adams is generally thought of as a higher quality product than your average Bud or Coors for sure
Catheryn Small: As someone that really loves beer, an! d can really be snobbish about it at times, I am certain that likely some of them will feel a little superior if you mention you love a beer from a national vendor rather than one sold from a local brewery that's only available in a 50 mile radius.....and that doesn't mean jack ****. Good beer fans take that opportunity to suggest new beers to you, no to tease you about your choices. Yes, I've had some of the best beer at small breweries and brewpubs, and I've had beers that were amazing and unknown and are hard to find....and I've also enjoyed the hell out of some very well known beers from well known brands. Sam Adams makes some pretty decent beer, and I personally could really go for a Winter Lager right now. They make too many beers for people to hate them all, so anyone that says there's no Sam Adams beer they like doesn't truly like beer, they like being a beer snob. A true beer lover will just be happy you've found something you like, they won't care that it's n! ot something you can only buy from the brewer in growlers on S! aturday afternoons between 3 and 5....Show more
Augustus Sarria: All the American beer I've tried is revolting. The only quality craft ales are those brewed in the UK (e.g. Badger, Old Speckled Hen or Hobgoblin)
Emilie Santmyer: Compared to Bud, Miller and Coors, The Boston Beer Company (makers of the Sam Adams line) has amazing beer but they're not my favorite craft brewery. In fact, it is debatable on whether or not BBC is still a small batch micro-brewery/craft brewery or if they've reached the macro level in the beer industry. Personally, I still consider them to be a craft brewery because they make a lot of limited and seasonal beers and they're just better beers than what the big guys are offering. The best thing to say to the beer snob is "hey, it's better than bud, miller, coors". they will usually just nod their heads and say "yeah yeah, that's true". not much else will be said after that. But as a suggestion, if you like the Sam Adams line you should ! try New Belgium Brewing Company beers as well. They're another good gateway into craft beer after Sam Adams. Most new people had Sam Adams Boston Lager as their gateway beer and thus starting their journey into craft beer. Two other breweries that I think are making some GREAT beer right now are Boulevard Brewing Company and Ballast Point Brewing Company. I do recommend their stuff as well. anyhow. just a suggestion, drink what you want, don't worry about the "snobs". They'll get over it....Show more
Arlen Decorte: It should be acceptable. It isn't the cream of the crop, but it's certainly better than Bud. If they make a big deal about it, then they go beyond being beer snobs to just being douchewaffles. I'm snobbish too, but at the end of the day a free beer is a free beer, and you be respectful to the people who brought it.
