Rayford Speziale: Title comes first. You cannot insure a vehicle that does not belong to you. You can transfer title for a vehicle that has an existing title even though it is not registered or insured but you have to take the title with the seller's notarized signature to the DMV in person, then you have to take the new title to your insurance agent in person. Insurance comes next because you can not get the restricted use 3-day permit without registration (read the whole thing on the source). The ! purpose of the 3-day is to allow you to get the steps needed for registration done. Once you get the insurance you can print out the 3-day on your printer from the source - follow the links. At that point it is legal to drive it for up to 3 days in order to complete the steps in the first source. Don't drive it to the store until it has real registration....Show more
Krystal Cordovano: i think you should nicely be complicated titling with registering the vehicle. i have self belief you actually must have the emissions inspection earlier the vehicle must be registered. i have self belief you need to be in a position identify the vehicle without polishing off the registration. only have an wise verbal replace on the motorcar registration place of work.
Ayesha Genova: You can get a SR22 bond( liability insurance policy) on you(or your parents can). That makes you legal to drive the car(it is owed outright and does not need comprehensive, but is is an option after y! ou get it titled). With that SR22 you should be able to get a ! 30 day tag in Granny's name to take care of everything else. Be aware, it might need a bit of work since it has say for 2 years.
